While it seems like I spend most of my free time on NABIP responsibilities - I still find time to work in my local community. I am proud to work with NEMS - a San Francisco Bay Area Community Health Center which does amazing work in the Asian community.
I also have been coaching youth sports over 15 years - most recently for the past 8 years as an NFL flag Football coach.
North East Medical Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center with over 10 locations and 750 employees. I have been involved on the foundations Board of Directors since 2010, and in the last year have been the finance chair. The center operates culturally appropriate care for the Asian Community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
NFL Flag Football - For the past 10 years I have been coaching NFL flag football for youth in Oakland, going to the NFL Pro Bowl national championships in 2017 and 2018. We represented the Raiders in the National title tournament both years, as the best team the Raiders region. For our group (14 and 15 year olds) - the championship game was played on ESPN at the halftime of the pro-bowl. We did win the AFC West group both years, but unfortunately did not make the championship game. But we did have a great time and lifelong experiences for the kids
